For testing the Belkin FireWire Hub, I connected a FireWire hard drive,
and CDWriter to it. Both were detected and functioned without a problem.
Conclusion
If you are sick and tired of having to bend over or pull out your
computer to connect up your FireWire components, the Belkin FireWire
Hub is for you. It provides easy access to FireWire ports for easy
hot-swapability. In case you are out of FireWire ports, the hub
provides you with an additional three ports in case you have used
up all those built into the back of your computer.
Bottom Line: If you need more ports or want easy access to FireWire
ports for hot-swap purposes, the Belkin FireWire Hub is for you.
