 :: Sony eMarker
  Installation and Software
Installation of the eMarker is very simply. First I installed the software provided by the CD, and then I simply plugged in the eMarker into its base. Windows recognized the new device and found the drivers for it.

If there are eMarks on the device they will be automatically uploaded at this point and the eMarker website will be launched to display the results of the eMarks. Once uploaded the website allows you to save and sort your eMarks for later use.

Testing
For testing out the eMarker I simply configured it for one of my local supporting stations and then made random eMarks throughout the day for songs I already knew the names of. When I returned home the day of making the eMarks I plugged the device into its docking station. The software detected the eMark and uploaded the data stored on it to eMarker.com. The web page then popped up and my results were shown. Unfortunately though, the information was not yet available for the songs, and it told me to check back in 24hrs. Upon returning the following day I logged in to find that the info on each song was available. I compared the results to that of each song I had written down and found that each was correctly identified.

The only real drawback I found was the lack of supporting stations. Several of my favorite stations were not listed as supporting the eMarker.
