Introduction
The Hi-Val version is a hot-swappable IDE "module" -- it's composed of two sections, the module itself (that goes into a 5 1/4" drive bay) and a "tray" where you mount a 3 1/2" hard drive. Here's a picture of the module mounted on my machine (third bay from the top down) with a tray in it. When there is no tray in the module, a little spring-loaded "door" keeps the dust from getting into your machine.

The first thing you'll notice is that the "tray" has a small handle to pull the drive out of the module. There's also a key for locking the drive into the bay (just in case you happen to be playing Rogue Spear and somebody decides to remove the drive from the bay "just to see what happens"). There's also a green power LED and one amber "HD access" LED that lets you know when the drive is in use.
