Installation
Installation of the 1394 External Storage device couldn't have been simplier on my system running Windows ME. One of the main points that Maxtor stresses is the ease of installation, and they sure aren't lying. All I had to do was hook the power to the hard external storage system and connect the included 1394 cable from my computer to the hard drive. After that the computer recognized the new device and installed the needed drivers. That was literally all there was to it, I didn't experience a single problem with installation, which is amazing.

For you MAC users out there, Maxtor includes a CD with installation software on it.
