  The Product
Some of you may not be quite sure up to now what this product is. Basically, it allows you to take the temperature of something without having to actually touch it by putting a probe on it. This is especially handy for overclockers or reviewers out there that need to quickly know the temperature of a piece of hardware like a processor.

The MT4 works by picking up the invisible infrared energy naturally emitted off the surface of an object. It then interprets the signals and translates them into a temperature reading.

The MT4 has a built-in laser which allows you to easily aim at any object you want to take the temperature of.

To ensure the proper reading you should use the 1:6 ratio. 1 being the spot size, 6 being the distance. Basically, a good rule of thumb is that the smaller the object is, the closer you should be to the object so that it properly picks up the signals emitted by and object.

You can choose to have the degrees displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit depending on which you set the switch to.

There are a few surfaces which the MT4 are not recommended for use on, these being shiny or polished surfaces like aluminum, stainless steel, etc. It also cannot measure through transparent surfaces like glass; instead it will take the temperature of the surface of the glass.

As would seem reasonable, steam, dust, smoke, etc., will hinder the reading of the temperature of something. But unless you are burning your computer or something else, this should not be a problem. J

Finally, the MT4 features a backlit display allowing you to take temperatures in the dark.

Conclusion
The MT4 is one of the neatest little products I have ever played with. It is great and handy device for anyone needing to easily take the temperature of something without having to actually touch it. It comes in especially handy when overclocking or reviewing a product, because I can quickly and easily determine the temperature of a piece of hardware. This allows me to be able to easily determine if I need to add additional cooling to a component so that it will not overheat. It sure beats having to use one of those digital thermometers with a temperature probe.

Bottom line, if you are an avid overclocker, someone conscious about keeping their components and system cool, or have any other use for taking the temperature of something, I would highly recommend you look into this product, as it will save you a lot of hassle and money.
