The Product
First thing I noticed when I received the product was the name
on the box, it said PhotoMAX PDC 1100 MEGA PIXEL Digital Imaging
Kit. Just as I was, you may be curious as to what the MEGA PIXEL
means. Basically, this is a term used describing the ability of
the camera to take pictures at resolutions of 1152x864. That's pretty
darn close to the resolution of 35mm film.
The PDC1100 features a wide array of output abilities. You can
hook the camera up to your computer via serial cable or USB cable
as well as output pictures to your TV. The PDC1100 also can double
as a video camera by providing live video when attached to your
TV.
The camera features a 1.8" Active Matrix TFT that is used
to take pictures with, as well as view previous pictures you have
taken. One thing nice about the PDC1100 is that if you prefer to
take pictures through the optical viewfinder, which is common to
all cameras, you can simply turn off the TFT. Doing this also helps
to save the batteries.
The PDC1100 has several great options built into its menu that
are customizable. They include:

Resolutions: 1152x864, 1024x768, 640x480
Flash: Automatic, Off, On, Red Eye Reduction Flash
