Testing....1..2..3....
My speaker system is nothing to brag about - better than some, but quite lame
in my opinion. I currently use an Altec Lansing ACS30 system which has a
subwoofer and 2 desktop speakers. In my opinion, it almost seems as though
the subwoofer is not loud enough, or is crossed over improperly as there is a
general lack of bass in this system.
Enter the WOW Thing. I hooked this little masterpiece up as per the
directions to my system expecting a cheezy "echo" effect to be added
to my music as well as some additional digital sound processing. Boy was I
wrong - the bass that was suddenly and violently present almost made me swallow
my gum. I can't believe the massive increase in low frequency sound my $69.00
set of speakers is now producing thanks to the WOW Thing.
I tried a few different types of input - a few CDs, MP3s, and Unreal
Tournament. All of them were drastically improved by the WOW Thing.
The effect was easy to tailor using the controls located on the front of the
device.
Conclusion
If you're dissatisfied by the flat sound of your stock OEM speakers, want
more bass, or even want a set of volume controls on your desk, run - do not walk
to your nearest retailer and grab one of this units!
